Venerable Gavesi was ordained by the late Sayadaw U Pandita in Myanmar in 2001. For over 20 years, Ven. Gavesi has been practising both Samatha and Vipassana bhāvanā under various teachers like Sayadaw U Pandita, Sayadaw Nyanapurnik & Ven. Sujiva. He has led many retreats in Malaysia & overseas. He is currently the Spiritual Advisor of Peace House in Penang, Malaysia.

Bhante Gavesi will be giving Dhamma talks in Jade Buddha Temple Houston, Austin and Brazos Buddhist Association/Brazos Insight Meditation Bryan/College Station. In addition leading a 10-day intensive Insight meditation at the American Bodhi Center. To register for the retreat, see link.
