14-Day Insight Meditation Retreat with Ven. Gavesi April 26, 2020

English Dharma Group, Jade Buddha Temple will be hosting a 14-Day Vipassana meditation retreat at the American Bodhi Center (ABC, Hempstead TX) in April-May 2020 led by Venerable Gavesi. Participants must attend the full 14 day retreat. A limited number of attendees will be accepted. Registration is required and is first come first served. 


About Ven. Gavesi

Ven. Gavesi was ordained in 2001 by the late Sayadaw U Pandita of Panditārama Forest Meditation Centre in Myanmar. For over 20 years, Ven. Gavesi has been practising both Samatha and Vipassana bhāvanā under various teachers such as Sayadaw U Pandita, Sayadaw Nyanapurnik, and Ven. Sujiva.
Currently, Ven. Gavesi teaches Vipassana technique in Malaysia as well as overseas. He is presently the Spiritual Adviser to Peace House in Penang, Malaysia.
